My goal as an artist is to convey thought and inspiration through sculpture, painting, and photography. I work mainly in assembling materials to create and develop objects that elevate the basic material components of a piece to something on a much greater cognitive and conceptual level that engages, stimulates, and provokes the viewer. I work extensively with used materials and found objects. My work ranges from the uncanny to the whimsical.  I’m very interested in “the face” as a visual construct and much of the works that I create are studies in the universality of facial topography.  I endeavor to create works that induce surprise and mystery in the mind of the viewer.  I strive for my creations to be emotionally expressive and represent the self in visual terms.
